Method of application:

The two components of Epoflex supplied in the dosed ratios: Part A 4.7 parts in weight Part B 0.3 parts in weight The ratio between the two components is absolute. Mixing should be done with a mechanical agitator until obtaining a paste of uniform colour. The velocity of setting and the pot life are closely tied to the ambient temperature. Its use at temperatures lower than 10°C and higher than 30°C is to be avoided

Use as a sealant

All of the surfaces should be dry, solid, free of dust, oil, grease, wax, etc. To allow its function of sealant to take place, it is necessary that, when applied onto the joint, it may be extended and compressed freely. It is necessary that Epoflex adheres well to the side walls of the joint and not to the bottom, and that the thickness of the joint is always less than its width. The joint should be designed in such a way that the maximum movement expected is less than 10% of the total width. To adjust the depth and avoid that Epoflex adheres to the bottom, a gasket made up of closed cells of foamed polyethylene or neoprene should be inserted previously. The filling of the joints is done by pouring Epoflex using a container with a spout or using the sealant cartridges. The masking of the Joints may be necessary to avoid overflow.

Consumption:

As a sealant: in relation to the dimensions of the joint, taking into account its specific weight. As self-levelling sheath: 1.5 Kg/m2 per mm of thickness

Cleaning:

Epoflex can be removed with solvents before hardening, and mechanically only later on
