PAVIPLAST
|
GENERAL DESCRIPTION PAVIPLAST is used to carry out epoxy flooring of a thickness ranging from 500 microns to 10 mm. based on the quality and quantityof the added charges. The product is made up of liquid epoxy resins, free of solvents which harden on reaction with an epoxy polyamide adduct (E HARDENER or S HARDENER. The flooring obtained exhibits optimal characteristics of resistance to mechanical stress and to aggressive chemical agents. The absence of superficial porosity makes washing and disinfection easier. The surface hardness, in the grade of finishing (smooth or anti-slip) and in the appearance, leaves a wide range of choice. In fact, by changing the quality and quantity of the charges, it is possible to meet any type of requirement. |
|
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Flooring in PAVIPLAST is indicated both for the sectors in which the aesthetic needs are predominant, such as commercial centres, shops, offices and also for the industrial sector, where high mechanical resistance associated with optimal chemical characteristics are required.
PAVIPLAST is therefore suitable for flooring in:
- Shops
- Offices
- Commercial centres
- Dairies, central dairies
- Abattoirs
- Pharmaceutical factories
- Hospitals
- Chemical and biological laboratories
- Cellars
- Distilleries
- Canteens
- Garages and parking areas

METHOD OF APPLICATION Preparation of the support: 1) Make sure that the support has the static characteristics required for the use to which it has been allocated. 2) Verify that the support is not humid and does not absorb water from capillaries of layers underneath. If this is not the case, proceed with the realisation of a vapour barrier. 3) Remove from the surfaces the parts not perfectly anchored and any traces of oils, grease and foreign substances, through sandblasting or with appropriate chemical treatment. If PAVIPLAST should be applied on particularly smooth supports (such as ceramics, tiles, glass), proceed anyway with sandblasting to roughen the surface. 4) Apply a coat of EPOXIDRO + HARDENER 5) Proceed with the laying of the flooring preparing the mixture PAVIPLAST + HARDENER as in the system mentioned below. 6) Any Joints should be stored by inserting an elastic joint. |
PREPARATION OF THE MIXTURE PAVIPLAST + HARDENER
To the container of PAVIPLAST add all of the contents of the bucket of hardener, mix thoroughly with spatula or helical agitator. The packagings are already predisposed to the following ratios.
PAVIPLAST :100 pans in weight
S or E HARDENER : 30 parts in weight
Then add charges (if required), in accordance with the type of flooring desired and mix again. After mixing PAVIPLAST with HARDENER, the hardening reaction begins which is faster the higher the temperature of the products and the quantity of mixture prepared. At a temperature of 20°C, a mass of 18.75 Kg of mixture should be applied within 30 minutes. At temperatures lower than 5°C no hardening reaction will occur.
APPLICATION OF THE MIXTURE PAVIPLAST + HARDENER
DUST-PROOF FLOORING
Proceed with the application of Epoxidro 03 primer on the support with a roller. After 24 hours apply the Paviplast without charges diluted with A Thinners at 20%. Immediately after the application clean the tools, by washing them with TM Thinners. During the application and for the next two days, the temperature of the support should remain between 10°C and 40°C; the relative humidity should not exceed 85%. Furthermore condensate should be avoided.

SELF-LEVELLING DECORATIVE OR CHEMICALLY-RESISTANT FLOORING
1) Application of the primer with Epoxidro
2) Proceed with the application of the mixture, with appropriate additives of Paviplast + aggregate in the ratio of 1 to 1, on the support prepared with toothed spatula to a thickness of 1000-1500 microns corresponding to a consumption of 2-2.5 Kg/m2.
3) Proceed with the rolling, by using nailed shoes and a bubble-bursting roller for the complete levelling of the charged Paviplast.
VERY THICK FLOORING
1) Apply the Epoxidro primer on the support
2) Proceed with the application of Paviplast + Hardener after adding the appropriate quantity of aggregate, by means of a toothed spatula. Thickness: 4-10 mm.
3) After 24 hours proceed with the application of Paviplast + Hardener without adding charges diluted 20% with A Thinner. Consumption: 250-300 g/m2.
