TAREPOX SI
Epoxy paint modified with coal-tar
|
GENERAL DESCRIPTION TAREPOX SI is made up of solid epoxy resins dissolved in specific solvents, coal-tar, inorganic pigments and appropriate aggregates, it hardens by reaction with a formulated polyamide (TP HARDENER). The film which is obtained makes the support impermeable, protects it from abrasion and attacks by chemical agents. |

FIELDS OF APPLICATION
TAREPOX SI + TP HARDENER are indicated for the coating of concrete or plaster, designed to come into contact with aggressive liquids such as sewage from domestic or industrial drains which should remain underground.
Therefore it is possible to coat the internal surfaces of drains, drain wells, tubs or foundations and external surfaces of underground tanks.

PACKAGINGS
- TAREPOX SI Kg. 20 + TP HARDENER Kg. 2
- TAREPOX SI Kg. 5 + TP HARDENER Kg 0.5
STORAGE
Store the packagings at a temperature between 10°C and 400C for no longer than one year.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Preparation of the support:
The support to be coated should be compact but not too smooth, free of dust, oil or grease. Any holes or cavities caused by air bubbles, if of notable size, should be closed before the application of the coating.
PREPARATION OF THE MIXTURE
To the container of TAREPOX SI add all of the TP HARDENER, mix thoroughly with spatula or helical agitator. Dilute if desired with appropriate TM Thinner until obtaining an optimal viscosity (5-15% of TM Thinners). The packagings are already predisposed to the following ratios.
TAREPOX SI : 100 parts in weight
TP HARDENER : 30 parts in weight
After mixing TAREPOX SI with TP HARDENER the hardening reaction begins which is faster the higher the temperature of the products and the quantity of mixture prepared. At a temperature of 20°C, a mass of 22 Kg of mixture should be applied within 8 hours. At a temperature lower than 5°C there will be no hardening reaction. Optimal results of the coating are obtained by applying the mixture without diluting.
APPLICATION OF THE MIXTURE
TAREPOX SI + TP HARDENER can be applied with air-less gun, or with brush or roller. During the application and for 2 days after, the temperature of the support should remain between 5°C and 40°C; the relative humidity should not exceed 85%. In any case, during the application the support should be perfectly dry and there should be a total absence of condensate. Immediately after the application clean the pump or the tools, by washing them with TM Thinner).
