GENERAL DESCRIPTION

VINPLAST 05 is an epoxy product, containing no solvents, which is used to obtain very thick coatings with a limited number of coats. VINPLAST 05 is made up of liquid epoxy resins, inorganic pigments and appropriate inert charges, hardens by reaction with an aromatic amino-epoxy adduct (LR HARDENER). The film which is obtained is free of pores and so makes the support impermeable, protects it from attacks from the substances with which it comes into contact and makes cleaning easier reducing the adhesion of dirt and of crusts which might form.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

VINPLAST 05 + LR HARDENER are indicated for the coating of the internal surfaces of cisterns, tanks, basins, silos - both in metal and concrete - designed to contain wine, derivatives of wine making or other substances - both liquid and solid - related to foodstuffs for humans such as cereals, flours, oils, fruit juices, etc... The film of VINPLAST 05 + LR HARDENER has undergone tests provided for by the regulating laws for coatings designed to come into contact with foodstuffs for humans (Law 21/0373. G.U. n. 104 and subsequent; Tab. IV/A, IV/B and V).

VINPLAST 05 + LR HARDENER are ruined by freezing. Store the packagings at a temperature between 10°C and 40°C for no longer than one year.

1) Remove powdery parts or parts not perfectly anchored by brushing. In the case of surfaces in bad conditions, proceed with sandblasting or brushing until revealing a healthy surface.

3) Proceed with the application of a coat of undercoat and of consolidation with Epoxidro 03 + E Hardener (see technical sheet).

4) When necessary, fill the irregularities of the support with Epostuc D45 + P4F Hardener (see technical sheet)

5) 12-24 hours after the undercoating or filling, apply a coat of VINPLAST 05 + LR HARDENER prepared following the procedure as in the paragraph 'preparation of the mixture'.

6) 12-24 hours after the first coat apply a second coat of VINPLAST 05 + LR HARDENER.

1) Remove any traces of rust, calamine, old paint, grease etc... through brushing or better through sandblasting with grade Sa 2.5 (Norme Svenk Standart SIS).

2) Application of 1 or 2 coats of VINPLAST 05 AND LR HARDENER prepared as specified in the paragraph 'preparation of the mixture'.

To the container of VINPLAST 05 add the entire contents of the bucket with LR HARDENER, mix thoroughly with spatula or helical agitator. The packagings are already predisposed to the following ratios:

After mixing VINPLAST 05 with LR HARDENER the hardening reaction begins which is faster the higher the temperature of the products and the quantity of mixture prepared. At a temperature of 20°C, a mass of 19.5 Kg of mixture should be applied within 30 minutes, at a temperature lower than 5°C there will be no hardening reaction. In the case of particularly cold temperatures or for the need of more fluidity, warm VINPLAST 05 by immersion in warm water at a temperature of40-50°C before adding LR HARDENER. However take into account that the application time will be further reduced. Optimal results are obtained applying the mixture without diluting. Whenever more fluidity is desired without resorting to warming, dilute with ethyl alcohol or appropriate thinner A to a maximum of 11. every 10 Kg of mixture. However take into account that diluting deteriorates the chemical and physical properties and causes the loss of the gloss finish in the coating.

VINPLAST 05 + LR HARDENER can be applied with air-less gun, or with brush or roller. During the application and for 2 days after, the temperature of the support should remain between 10°C and 40°C; the relative humidity should not exceed 85%. In any case, during the application the support should be perfectly dry and there should be a total absence of condensate

Immediately after the application clean the tools, by washing them with ethyl alcohol or TM Thinner.
