- Single-component epoxy resinsThese resins are solid, easily meltable under heat, and can be liquefied by dissolving in solvents. To achieve the best levels of resistance to wear, temperature, and atmospheric agents, they are usually added with additives and combined with latent hardeners. Single-component epoxy resins are polymerized under heat and then cooled. This process produces a solid product with high chemical, thermal, and mechanical resistance.
- Two-component epoxy resins: they are in liquid form and can catalyze at room temperature by a reaction known as “induced isothermal nature” through the addition of hardeners with amine and/or polyamide functionality.
